What is your name?
Hannah Ma’ayan Prutchi

Where are you from?
I was born in Lake Jackson,TX, but my family moved to Voorhees, NJ when I was 2.

Where did you go to high school?
I went to Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees, NJ.

Why did you choose Texas A&M?
I chose Texas A&M because I absolutely fell in love with it the moment I stepped on campus. I visited a lot of colleges and none compared.

What was your major and why did you decide to pursue such a degree?
My major is Animal Science because I want to be a vet.

What do you look forward to when coming to Chabad?
I always look forward to seeing all the people. I love how welcoming and friendly everyone is! Manya’s cooking is always a plus!

What do you love about Jewish life on campus?I love all the events and how there is always something going on!

Do you have any siblings?
I have two sisters, Shanni and Abigail.

What is your favorite Jewish food?
My favorite Jewish food is matzah ball soup, it’s my dinner every day during Passover.

What is your favorite food?
My favorite food has to be Mac & Cheese, even though it is one of the only things I’ve been eating for the past month.

What is your favorite Jewish childhood memory?
My favorite Jewish childhood memory is going to kid’s services at synagogue and singing all the fun Shabbat songs.

What is your favorite Chabad experience until now?
My favorite Chabad experience until now is definitely Café Chabad and Dessert and Discussion!

Have you ever traveled outside of the United States?
Yes, I’ve been to Israel, Ecuador, the Amazon Jungle, the Galapagos Islands, Canada, Mexico, and England. My favorite place will always be Israel because I have so much family there and it is my home. 

Have you ever been to Israel?
I have been to Israel, my mom is from there and most of my family lives there. I think the most amazing experience that I’ve had is when I had my Bat Mitzvah in Israel. I had it there so I could be with all of my family because it was important for me to be with them for such a special occasion.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?
I would love to go to Australia!

What is your favorite vacation spot?
I absolutely love going to Israel, but Disney is one of my absolute favorite places to go to. I went there twice this year! 

How do you enjoy spending your free time?
I love horseback riding, reading, singing, and watching TV when I have free time. 

What is at the top of your bucket list?
I really want to do an epic Disney trip. I would start by going on the cruises, then make my way to all the parks around the world: Disneyland Paris, Disneyland in California, Tokyo Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, Shanghai Disney, and of course Disney World in Orlando.

Do you have any animals? What is their best trick?
I have two dogs, a Westie named Schrodi and a Mini Schnauzer named Ninja. I also have two hedgehogs, Robbie and Henry. The dogs’ best trick is dancing while the hedgehogs are just so cute!

What has been your most thrilling experience in your life?
When I was in the Galapagos with my dad and we saw a white-tipped shark while we were deep-sea snorkeling. It was so close I could touch it!

What has been your most enjoyable class?
I really like my animal science lab. Today we got to play with some sheep!

If you were able to have one superpower what would it be?
I would love to have telekinesis.

What would enhance Jewish life on campus?
I think it would be awesome if we could get a Kosher meal plan on campus. 

How did you get involved with Chabad?
I met Rabbi and Manya at Gefilte Fish camp and then I came to Chabad for Kosher Cooking Club and I loved it!

 Do you have plans for after graduation?
I hope to go to vet school after I graduate!
